The navigation of Lake Maggiore and the Borromean Islands takes place on board a comfortable motorboat, the “Pirate”, able to accommodate up to 57 persons comfortably and according to the law. For larger groups, I work with other motorboat pilots.

FROM WHERE DOES THE NAVIGATION OF LAKE MAGGIORE AND THE BORROMEAN ISLANDS LEAVE?
Usually, we start from Stresa but we can agree on a departure from any port of the Borromean Gulf.

Lake Maggiore and its jewels, the Borromean Islands, are an extraordinary meeting of nature and culture that everyone should visit at least once. As Stendhal said: “If a man should possess a heart and a shirt, he ought to sell the shirt and visit the shores of Lake Maggiore”
ARE THERE OTHER NAVIGATION PACKAGES OF THE BORROMEAN ISLANDS?
The recommended procedure includes a visit to the three islands (Isola Bella, Isola Madre, Isola dei Pescatori) but it is possible to choose to visit just one or two of the Borromean Islands.
IS THE MALGHERA REEF INCLUDED IN THE NAVIGATION OF THE BORROMEAN ISLANDS?
The reef is part of the Borromean islands’ archipelago and is located halfway between Isola Bella and Isola dei Pescatori. It is completely uninhabited and is known because it is the common refuge of seagulls, also for this reason it is called the island of lovers. It is not accessible by motorboat and you can see it very well while navigating the Borromean Islands.
CAN BOAT TRIPS BE ARRANGED FOR VERY LARGE GROUPS?
The navigation service of the Borromean Islands takes place on a motorboat that can accommodate 57 passengers, more or less an entire organised group equivalent to a normal bus. However, we are able to work with other motorboat pilots.
ARE BORROMEAN ISLANDS AVAILABLE FOR DISABLED PERSONS?
Unfortunately, for reasons of which we are not responsible, the Borromean Islands have serious problems, architectural barriers, and we must consider each time the difficulties of movement.
